Inspiration
All the members in my team were frustrated about the inconvenience of finding study buddies. Between trying to coordinate time, location and willingness to do a meetup, we were inspired to create a web app that would help bridge the gap and make the process more efficient.
What it does
Users sign up with a username, and declare which class you're taking, whether you're looking for a study buddy or a friend, and allow location services. Your information will be displayed on a main page, where others can see and contact you. You can contact other people on the page as well.
How we built it
We used python, flask, html, css, javascript, and also integrated the google maps api.
Challenges we ran into
We had very little experience using web frameworks, and as a result we were not able to complete all the functionality of the code by the deadline
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to create a UI and link pages together with buttons, as well as work with an API.
What we learned
We learned how to use flask, css, javascript to make a web app!
