Inspiration
Working from home is hard. We wanted to create a relaxing space where people can manage and prioritize their work free from the distractions of the internet.
What it does
StudyBuddy allows you to use the Pomodoro time management technique in conjunction with a to-do list to manage a personal workflow.
How we built it
We simply used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along code snippets from all over the internet to build StudyBuddy.
Challenges we ran into
We were trying to build to user interface with React, but because all of us were swamped with school on top of PennApps, we decided that a working prototype is more important than trying to use a "newer" framework.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We built the user interface in one afternoon, and were able to combine so many varied tools and code snippets to create one cohesive product.
What we learned
Clear up your school schedule before committing to a hackathon.
What's next for StudyBuddy
We would love to try to build the UI in React and potentially use Firebase for authentication to give users a more personalized experience.
