Inspiration
What inspired us was the growing dependence of generative AI large language models to study, such as ChatGPT, Meta, CoPilot, etc.
What it does
The website allows the user to import a file into the website which feeds into the Grok LLM and outputs questions that the student can easily digest and memorize.
How we built it
We utilized Python, HTML, CSS, a CSS framework (Bulma), React, and Grok.
Challenges we ran into
Due to our elementary coding skills, we had to learn how to code into HTML, CSS, CSS framework(s), and JS for the front end. As for the backend, we ran into complications regarding connecting the AI LLM to the front-end interface and setting up the LLM. Lastly, we had the issue where we had to pay for token requests into Grok.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we are delving into the "wild west" of program development, beyond most of our skill sets. Even though our project isn't the most polished or the most operable, we are still proud that we all tried to make something deliverable.
What we learned
All of us dipped our toes into professional applications such as Git Hub and AI LLM's like Grok. Additionally, we can at least walk out today learning how to do a bit of front-end and back-end development.
What's next for Study Ags
There is a lot ahead for us. We are hoping to be able to successfully integrate the Grok AI into the website, so it can become a valuable study tool for hundreds of thousands of students studying into the wee hours of the morning. Even though some would dump this project after this, we would want to try to make this accessible for all.
