StudentPal Project Story
About the Project
StudentPal is a web app I built to help students stay on top of their school life. It combines task management, study tracking, and stress monitoring all in one place. The goal is to make student life a bit less overwhelming by keeping everything organized and easy to track.
Inspiration
I built this because, honestly, being a student can be overwhelming. I kept losing track of tasks and study time, and I wanted something that could actually motivate me instead of just being another boring planner. I liked the idea of apps like MyFitnessPal, but there wasn’t anything like that for students, so I decided to make my own.
What It Does
- Track assignments and tasks
- Log hours studied each day
- Monitor stress levels with a visual bar
- Provide a simple dashboard for navigation between sections
-timer
How We Built It
StudentPal was built using:
- HTML & CSS for layout and styling
- JavaScript for dynamic features and interactivity
- Single-page app design with multiple “screens” (login, dashboard, about)
I used vanilla JS to:
- Add and remove tasks
- Update the stress bar dynamically
- Log study hours and update the display
- Switch between screens without page reloads
You could even include math formulas, like calculating study efficiency:
