Inspiration

Students often struggle with managing multiple subjects, upcoming exams, assignments, and maintaining consistent study habits. Most existing tools either focus only on scheduling or only on learning assistance, forcing students to switch between different platforms.

We wanted to create a single intelligent platform that combines study planning, productivity tracking, and AI-powered academic support. This led to the creation of StudentOS, an AI-driven study companion designed to help students stay organized, learn efficiently, and prepare confidently for exams.

What it does

StudentOS is an AI-powered student productivity platform that helps students manage their academic journey from planning to preparation.

Students can enter their subjects, exam dates, and available study hours to receive customized study schedules and revision plans tailored to their needs.

The frontend provides an interactive dashboard where students can manage tasks, track progress, interact with the AI assistant, and generate study plans. The backend handles authentication, AI requests, study plan generation, and database operations.

Challenges we ran into

During development, we faced several technical challenges:

Handling Gemini API rate limits and quota restrictions Managing AI-generated responses to ensure structured study plans Integrating frontend and backend communication smoothly Configuring MongoDB Atlas connections and network access settings Managing authentication and secure user sessions Organizing the project architecture while integrating multiple services
