Inspiration
A couple members on our team were introverted into reaching out to find a team for this hackathon. We were inspired by that and related it to how we were afraid to approach others on campuses too. We, as a team, wanted to make learning more accessible for students with anxiety or hesitations.
What it does
It allows students to upload a video about how they completed their homework to share with other classmates so they can better understand.
How we built it
We built this by using NextJS and TypeScript for the front end, and for the database and API, we used Prisma and Postgresql. For styling, we used Tailwind CSS.
Challenges we ran into
-Different timezones
-Running to major bugs (Google authentication, database kept deleting)
-Design prototyping
-Not being familiar with Figma
-The upload feature kept breaking, so I had to implement it manually into the database.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
-Gurtej is proud of the end result of the project.
-Jeslyn is proud that she was able to use her Adobe skills in Figma.
-Ivoine is proud of how he leads the team.
-Saahil is happy with how much we could accomplish in this much time.
What we learned
-Jeslyn learned how to use Figma and the prototyping process.
-Gurtej learned how to use Github.
-Ivoine learned how to build a flowchart for the process of how we built and led teams.
-Saahil learned to work with different frameworks like Next and services like Vercel.
