Inspiration

There is huge change in the hectic day to day life of a student when he/she is going from a School to College. Environment of the college is very different from the school. Apart from this, India has the highest suicide rate between age group 17-29. So taking the idea forward of IIIT-Delhi Mentor Mentee Program, We have built Studentgiri Drift which will help the students to find a mentor from the same campus.

What it does

  • Psychological Support by Mentor
  • Provides a Mentor from the Same College Campus
  • Anonymous Chatting between the two
  • Tutor Program for - one to one interaction between a student and expert
  • Reward points/Credits to Mentor for helping students
  • Timely feedback for Mentors and Mentees
  • Student ID Verification
  • Common Discussion Portal for Students, Mentors and Tutors

How we built it

  • Firebase Chat for the Chatting Side
  • Ruby on Rails for Web App
  • NodeJS for building APIs
  • Google Cloud as our backend
