Inspiration

Students constantly juggle notes, deadlines, stress, and dozens of disconnected apps. We wanted one tool that simplifies everything and genuinely improves daily student life.

What it does

StudentFlow organizes notes with AI, creates adaptive study plans, tracks wellbeing through quick check-ins, and connects students with peers who share similar classes or interests.

How we built it

We combined an LLM-powered backend for summaries, flashcards, scheduling, and moderation with a React-based frontend for notes, planning, and community features. PostgreSQL stores user data, and real-time chat runs on WebSockets.

Challenges we ran into

Integrating multiple AI features into a smooth workflow, creating reliable scheduling logic, and balancing wellbeing tools without crossing into clinical claims required careful design and testing.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We built a unified platform that reduces student overwhelm, automates tedious tasks, and provides a supportive community. The MVP successfully handles note uploads, summaries, study plans, mood logs, and basic group chats.

What we learned

Students want simplicity, automation, and personalization. We learned how to design AI systems that are helpful but not intrusive, and how important it is to build features that genuinely reduce cognitive load.

What’s next for StudentFlow

Expanding integrations with school platforms, adding collaborative studying tools, improving the adaptive schedule engine, launching mobile apps, and introducing advanced analytics for learning performance.
