Inspiration To create a transformative impact in the education by empowering students and to reduce the dropout rate in India.
What it does The model Predicting the future dropout rate by analysing the data of dropout rate and enrollment rate of the past 6-7 years of various states in India.
How we built it
- The model is built by collecting the datasets of enrollment and dropout rates of the past 6-7 years
- The datasets that are collected have been cleaned and pre-processed to handle the missing values,outliers and inconsistencies before the data gets used by the model.
- The cleaned data has been merged and processed using pandas module in python and the final dataset has been analysed using data visualization tools like matplotlib,pyplot and seaborn.
- A machine learning model has been used in which linear and randomforest regression techniques to make predictions based upon the provided dataset.
Challenges we ran into Data availability and quality, resource constraint, model generalization are some of the challenges we faced while developing this project.
Accomplishments that we're proud of We as a team are really proud that we got a chance to participate in this global event, through this event we learned to work as a team and tried to bring awareness in people.
