Inspiration

We found that during our time learning in an 'at-home' environment, managing work and time can be difficult due to the changing landscape. Naturally students can use programs to manage productivity, however, some can be complex or expensive for students to use readily. Thus we made a simple web application that allows students to track their work and marks.

What it does

This web application offers simple UI for any students to use to its fullest. The application has options to track student tests, assignments and homework. We also provided a mark calculator such that students can track and predict their future marks, which provides ease of mind. Also everything inputted is stored, so the student can view this application at a later time.

How we built it

We started building this project by using NodeJS as a base which is a Javascript platform that can run servers. Then we installed ExpressJS, which allows the server project to be come a website server application. For styling, we used Bootstrap which offers clean CSS and Mobile UI support. Lastly, other APIs that helped ease development such as Jade and FullCalendar.io.

Challenges we ran into

Some of the challenges included lack of knowledge for full stack development. Thus our work efficiency was severely lowered.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to deploy our project successfully, utilizing cookies to store user data and interactive UI.

What we learned

We a lot about Full stack development

What's next for Student Web App

Hopefully, we can add more interactive UI elements and features for students
