Student toolkit

Inspiration

Having heard of the difficulties of navigating around as an international student I believe it would be a great idea to make a one-in app, which allows students to track, and plan their life abroad.

What it does

It helps students plan, and track their daily expenses, and most importantly it helps students navigate places safely. The map guides students to safe places by showing which area recently has the most crime and giving them an alternative.

How we built it

I build the map using Python and Mapbox, in Jupyter.

Challenges we ran into

I still have challenges building the map, cause of the block APIs in Mapbox and Google.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud that I understand how to import, and download libraries in VS and link them to the right version.

What we learned

Throughout the way, I learned more about VS code and Flutter.

What's next for Student Toolkit

See if I could get free APIs to locate which areas are rated with the most crimes, so students can be careful.
