Inspiration
Managing assignments, homework, and personal study schedules can be difficult for students. We wanted to build a simple and user-friendly application that helps students organize their daily academic tasks and improve productivity.
What it does
Student Task Manager allows students to:
Add new tasks. Mark tasks as completed. Delete tasks that are no longer needed. View the total number of tasks and completed tasks. Automatically save tasks in the browser using Local Storage, so tasks remain available after refreshing the page.
The application provides a clean and responsive interface that works on both desktop and mobile devices.
How we built it
The application was developed using standard web technologies.
Frontend
HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript (ES6)
Storage
Browser Local Storage
The user interface was designed with responsive layouts, and JavaScript was used to handle task management, counters, and persistent storage.
Challenges we ran into
During development we faced several challenges:
Managing dynamic task creation and deletion. Keeping task data synchronized with Local Storage. Updating task counters automatically. Designing a responsive interface that works across different screen sizes.
These challenges helped us improve our understanding of JavaScript and browser storage.
Accomplishments that we're proud of Built a fully functional task management application. Successfully implemented Local Storage to save user data. Created a clean and responsive user interface. Improved our understanding of DOM manipulation and event handling. Developed a project that can be useful for students in managing their daily academic activities. What we learned
This project helped us learn:
HTML page structure CSS styling and responsive design JavaScript DOM manipulation Event handling Local Storage API Debugging and testing web applications Basic project organization using Git and GitHub What's next for Student Task Manager
Future improvements include:
User authentication Task categories Priority levels Due date reminders Calendar integration Dark mode Cloud database synchronization Mobile application Email notifications Important
Only use this text if your project actually includes these features or if you build them before submitting. Don't claim features (such as cloud sync, AI, or authentication) that your project doesn't have. Hackathon organizers may review submissions against the actual project.tion
