Inspiration
Our own personal struggles with adapting to an online environment.
What it does
It is a journal that helps promote the mental well-being of students. It does so through streamlining certain processes needed for students, like adding tasks and planning on calendars, while also notifying the user about certain tips they can use to better take care of themselves while studying. We also provide students with a dedicated suggestion page to improve their lifestyle.
How we built it
We spent the first day of the hackathon just laying down the groundwork and brainstorming a couple of ideas. After around 5 hours of that, we then started coding it. First, we used a template from bootstrap.com and we analyzed the source code, making sure we understood the intricate details so we could adjust them to our liking. We also put some of our own functions into the code as well.
Challenges we ran into
One of the challenges we ran into was familiarity with the languages.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Our overall organization (time, planning, and execution) was straight to the point and no time was being wasted. We all knew what we wanted in the project and we were able to get it in an efficient manner.
What we learned
We learned more about the web designing process.
What's next for Student Life Saver Web Application
Improve more on the functionality and add more suggestions and tips in the future. Developing a mobile app is another thing we can look into.
