Inspiration
What inspired us was the challenges students face, and more importantly the focus on academics. When looking at applications for students, most of them are geared toward resources for certain courses or tutors, but we wanted to change that by providing a "Hub" where students can find resources for basic needs and further progression into their future careers.
What it does
Student Hub, as pointed out in the name, acts as a hub for students for a variety of tools, recommendations, and advice they may find helpful. There are pages for food, where students can view easy-to-make recipes, tools, and advice for co-op and internships, as well as recommended tools for organization and planning.
How we built it
Student Hub is created using HTML, CSS, and Javascript to ensure a quality user interface and responsive environment.
Challenges we ran into
The challenges we ran into were mainly centered on coming up with resources that would actually benefit students like us.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Something that we're proud of is our overall communication and being able to coordinate with each other in a limited amount of time.
What we learned
We were able to expand our knowledge on web design and apply our knowledge on creating a user friendly website with a modern interface. We were able to learn a lot with the latest bootstrap version and apply css and javascript properties to it.
What's next for Student Hub
We want to expand on this project further by adding a database that will allow users to reference a lot more resources from the web and have it saved in their own personal dashboards.
