Our inspiration in creating Student+ is to make an efficient place where students can access information that is needed for school. We used an MIT App Developer, a cloud-based service, to create this tool. The application has four main features which include a classmate chatbox, a timer that informs the user how much time is left in their period, a reminder system every time you leave your home, and an environment tracker. Through our creation process, it was difficult to learn how to integrate API’s system to provide information. In the future, we plan on including more schools, school announcements, sharing homework goals encouraging constructive competition, and integrating social media.
Additional Note: We could not import our code into GitHub due to the application and if you want to look at the app you may download the MIT companion app found in the App Store. We talked to an event coordinator, Brandon Joe, and he said a demo video and screenshots of our code will be sufficient.
