Inspiration
As an international student myself. The first time, arrival in the U.S. without such kind of services was hectic. It took a total stranger to my aid. The culture shock was unbearable and do not wish for anyone else. Not knowing what to load for my luggage and my warm clothing was not enough to keep me warm with the cold in New England - Boston, Massachusetts. Most students moving to the new area whether international or local will benefit when this project goes live.
What it does
We provide services for students like airport pickups, housing search close to your school, grocery, and shopping assistance, and student-centered programs (Linkedin learning experience, indeed, and career guidance).
How we built it
We will build a mobile app and a website for efficient access to our services in the U.S. and other parts of the world. Also, build partnerships with schools and University admission offices to help provide our services to their incoming students.
Challenges we ran into
We may face challenges when it comes to initial market entry so an organic growth strategy is what we will use from start due to potential partnerships that we will need to kick this project off with. But the quick response from schools will help us serve millions of students in year 1. Hence, if the response from the universities receives massive support we will not rely on the organic build-up but capitalize on the school's refer strategy which we will partner with. We aim to reach at least 3 million students population the first year.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Developing an idea that will bring comfort and smiles to local/international students in the U.S. I believe we can take care of the basic needs of these students so they can focus on the needful things while we take the miscellaneous.
