Inspiration

Benjamin Franklin has rightly said, “If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail.” You may have several different financial goals you wish to achieve but to reach them at the right point in life; you need to have a financial plan in place at a very young age. Financial planning is a step-by-step approach to meet one’s life goals. A financial plan acts as a guide as you go through life’s journey. Essentially, it helps you be in control of your income, expenses and investments such that you can manage your money and achieve your goals. Being a student we've struggled with a lot of things especially with tracking our finances, keeping up with our tasks and schedule.

What it does

The purpose of this app is to instill Financial planning amongst youngsters This is due to the fact that during childhood and teenage phase, students barely care about their financial matters as they were under parental guidance and depend a lot on their families. Hence, when they start facing the university life, they have to manage their own financial resources and expenses in order to survive. Students may be shock to be in this situation which lead them to manage their financial poorly. Thus, every student should be exposed with the prominence of financial management that begins with their life in university. First and foremost, students need to manage their finance wisely to pay back various bills , education loans etc etc

Student App allows users to keep track of their finances, tasks and their schedule all at one place.

Budget Tracker: Allows users to track their budget. User can enter their allowance, add their expenses which will be subtracted from their allowance. Expenses will be saved and also be deleted according to the users needs.

Task Tracker: Allows user to create tasks and tick them off once they complete them.

Schedule: Allows user to keep a schedule and follow it

How we built it

After brainstorming a couple of ideas and deciding what stack to use, we started working on the project.

Challenges we ran into

Using react-router since it's a multipage app.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Creating a multiple page react app from scratch in 48hours. Implementing Context API. Managing our time.

What we learned

We learned the usage of react-router and making a UI with React and Bootstrap. Usage of ContextAPI

What's next for Student App

Improvements in UI and a section to save Notes. The user will be allowed to add documents. Section to save important documents such as Id cards, passes etc.
