Our inspiration for the Student Advisor project stemmed from recognizing the challenges that students face in navigating the complex landscape of educational and career opportunities. We wanted to create a platform that could provide personalized recommendations and guidance to students, helping them access scholarships, internships, fellowships, grants, and other programs that align with their career goals.
What it does
Student Advisor is a comprehensive platform that offers personalized recommendations for various programs to help students fund their career aspirations and earn money. By inputting their interests, skills, academic background, and career goals, students receive tailored suggestions for scholarships, internships, fellowships, grants, and other opportunities relevant to them.
How we built it
We built Student Advisor using Amazon AWS's PartyRock, a platform designed to facilitate the creation of various AI-driven applications in an intuitive and playful manner. PartyRock provides a hands-on, generative AI app-building playground that enables users to create a diverse range of applications with just a few simple steps.
Utilizing PartyRock, we crafted Student Advisor to offer personalized recommendations for scholarships, fellowships, internships, grants, and other programs tailored to individual career goals and financial needs. The application harnesses the power of generative AI to analyze user inputs and generate customized roadmaps for achieving academic and professional aspirations.
Challenges we ran into
One of the main challenges we encountered was integrating the diverse functionalities required for Student Advisor within the PartyRock environment. While PartyRock offers a user-friendly interface for app creation, aligning its features with the specific requirements of our project demanded careful planning and execution.
