Inspiration
Inspiration for our web app resulted from our want to change the negative connotation of video games and interest in incorporating technology in the growth of education.
What it does it
Within the web app Stuart's Little World, Stuart introduces kids to the importance of geography through it's alluring obstacle course which effectively supports learning.
How we built it
Within the web development of Stuart's Little world, our mixed level of proficiencies with programming languages caused use to initially gravitate towards Python due to it's high readability. After speaking with our mentor we chose to attempt to create the project using Unity due to it's ability to create high quality graphics.
Challenges we ran into
Formulating a code in C#, with no experience really challenged us to put our pre-existing ideas from Python, and Java into learning C# in limited time. Git hub also posed a challenge, as none of us had ever used it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Discovering how to use Unity to create a randomly generated 3D loop game having no prior experience, and learning it within the time frame of fourteen hours.
What we learned
Greatness can come from dedication, hard work, and using crash courses.
What's next for Stuart Little's World
We will include different terrains, with cultural facts for children to learn about people from all over the world.
