Inspiration:

Everyone experiences negative emotions, and it would be nice to have one place with games and strategies to calm yourself when you get overwhelmed.

What it does:

This program first asks the user how they are feeling. Based on that feeling, it will direct them to a strategy to calm down, a fun game, or a motivational quote. This makes it easy for them to quickly get help when they are feeling overwhelmed. There is also a timer feature; it is easy to waste time on the internet, so the timer feature ensures that they will take a break from our program as well.

How we built it:

We used JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to work on this project.

Challenges we ran into:

We had some trouble with the ball expansion game, but we asked a mentor and we were able to fix our problem! We also had some trouble linking two HTML files together, but another mentor was very helpful and even showed us a new way to debug our code!!

Accomplishments that we're proud of:

We are so proud we created a working project! None of us have ever really done much project work before, and half of us have never done a hackathon. We are all so happy that we made a functional program that could be helpful!

What we learned:

We learned to use JavaScript! None of us had coded in JavaScript before, so it was exciting to learn.

What's next for Stress, OUT!:

We plan to continue some features that we did not get to finish, like the Simon game, the motivational quotes page, and the timer. We plan to make the Simon game and timer feature functional, along with making a variety of motivational quotes for the user to flip through.
