Our team came together from a previous Hackathon with our enthusiasm for the Superfluid ecosystem and the growing importance and needs of DAO's.

StreamRoll enables DAO's to borrow against their native token in real-time and stream salaries in real-time to employees. The vast majority of DAO treasuries are heavily skewed to their governance token, and DAO's need to 1.) Diversify their treasury and 2.) Unlock liquidity for DAO expenses.

StreamRoll Finance allows DAO's and other crypto companies to utilize their treasury as collateral for payroll expenses. These payrolls will be streamed out via the Superfluid protocol to the employees who may do what they wish with their salaries. StreamRoll will enable DAO's to borrow against their governance tokens in real time to minimize interest expense and stream in real-time to their employees. The benefits to DAO's is to unlock their net worth to pay expense without having to sell their tokens and also incur a tax event. Employees can receive their salaries each minute and can choose to invest in real-time (via something like Ricochet Exchange), or however they see fit.

Our main challenge was incorporating everything into Solidity and not using any SDKs. We want to keep everything on chain, and was a suggesting from a head engineer at Superfluid. Using SDKs are easier, so the Superfluid team was incredible helpful on our blockers.

We built StreamRoll in Solidity. Our StreamRoll contract handles the deposit and borrow functions from Compound for a DAO. The contract will also start a Superfluid Stream to employees via a Constant Flow Agreement in Superfluid. Once the money comes into our Contract, it does not leave unless a stream(s) is started or the DAO wants their collateral back (after fulfilling obligations).

We are proud of how we came together and learned the different aspects to make this "moneylego" perform :-).

What is next for StreamRoll? Well, we plan to further improve and incorporate partners. Our initial launch will be on Polygon due to Superfluid being on Polygon, but not Chainlink Keepers :-(. We need to use keeper.network or something similar for our "Keeper" needs (hint hint Chainlink!). We also want to incorporate individual employer/employee contracts in the "metadata" for each individual stream. We envision a stream to an employee represent all the HR tasks into the stream agreement! The StreamRoll dAPP will be a one-stop shop for DAOs to unlock liquidity, manage HR resources, and for employees to manage their streams (do they want to invest the stream? do they want fiat to a bank?).
