StreamPY

Inspiration

The reason I built StreamPY was when I had the thought of streaming myself but was shocked at the cost of becoming a good streamer (like to buy expensive gear). I saw how to do a budget setup online, but never saw anything about a budget stream deck, which was essential to any streamer.

What it does

It basically has the ability to open applications needed for both gaming and work (productivity). It can also control music, audio (discord) as well as volume control.

How we built it

It was built using various Python libraries such as Tkinter, ctypes, pynput etc.

Challenges we ran into

The main challenge I feel that I ran into was with the volume slider as well as the discord controls.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of the whole project as it was my first ever big project.

What we learned

I have leaner how to make GUIs, use AHKs and many more things.

What's next for StreamPY

I feel what next for StreamPY is the ability of customisation, such as being able to incorporate custom buttons and the ability to run your own commands. I also feel this would make it equal to a physical stream deck.
