Inspiration

Our inspiration for this project is to empower users to easily navigate and understand the complex world of Web 3. By creating an intuitive and seamless user experience, we aim to bring blockchain technology to the masses and allow everyone to take control of their digital assets with confidence.

What it does

Our redesign of the Mantel blockchain explorer focuses on making the user experience more user-friendly. We believe that the complex world of blockchain should be accessible to everyone, regardless of technical background. With our redesign, we've created a more intuitive and seamless onboarding process, advanced search functionality, and improved data visualization to help users easily monitor and manage their assets. Our goal is to empower users to take control of their blockchain assets and make their journey in the world of blockchain more enjoyable and accessible.

How we built it

In our redesign of Mantle, we focused on creating a user-friendly experience by conducting thorough user interviews. We wanted to understand the pain points and frustrations of our users when using Web 3, and how we could improve their experience with Mantle.

Based on the insights from our interviews, we designed a streamlined, intuitive user flow that makes it easy for users to search and monitor their assets.

We then utilized these insights to create a prototype for our redesign that aims to make the user experience more friendly and accessible.

Challenges we ran into

  • Understanding the complex Web 3 ecosystem
  • Finding people for user research who have used Web 3
  • Visualizing the complex data currently on Mantle's site and prioritizing what information the user needs

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Being able to understand Web 3 and blockchain explorers
  • Creating a user friendly prototype for the redesign

What we learned

  • People are intimidated by Web 3 because they just don't understand it, too complex, or have no interest in it
  • Conducting and recruiting people to do user interviews are a lot harder than we expected
