Increasing adaptation of health-IoT devices such as smartphones, Fitbits, and Apple watches creates the opportunity to derive helpful real-time insights from the massive and continuous data produced by these devices. The technological gap in mainstream devices is the frequency at which data aggregated and relayed to the server and analytical engines. Enhancing such communication channels can aid in a plethora of use cases for medical devices, to even wearable smart jewelry. The need for sophisticated real-time analytics is pressing and difficult for most companies/products to achieve.

Our product has commoditized the entire streaming pipeline, such that each endpoint is customizable by the end user. The product has a two-fold mechanism: 1) A scalable data streaming pipeline that will support multiple users at scale and 2) Providing real-time analytics for users of wearable devices (no matter the size of the device). Combining compression schemes and an AWS hosted analytics database, our team is able to interface with general wearable health-devices, allow the device to stream data to the server, enable researchers to upload an algorithm that can send an alert to the device in real-time if anything irregular is identified.
