Inspiration
A knowledge stream can move on while its original source gets lost in chat. Stream Evidence Board keeps a claim, its sources and chat's next inspection step together.
What it does
The host opens a timed round. Chat uses !vote a or !vote b to choose which source to inspect first. An account can change its choice while retaining one current vote. !source highlights the evidence links. The host can mark a source pending or viewed; this records inspection, not a verdict on the claim.
The example links NASA's Moon overview and a JPL article about lunar laser ranging.
How we built it
Wu Dingzhou is the sole human entrant. He approved the direction and integration choices, set up and authorized his Twitch application/channel, performed the own-account tests and supplied both screen recordings.
Codex and its AI agents generated and revised the custom board, private tally, controls, display, integration, tests and materials. Pinned Twurple 8.2 provides the reused authentication/API/EventSub components. The adapter requests only user:read:chat, sends no chat messages and keeps credentials in memory. A read-only display receives aggregate state; the simulator is separate and labelled.
Challenges
Duplicate deliveries, changed votes and round boundaries need separate handling. Duplicate retention is bounded by time and capacity. Disconnection pauses intake while the round deadline continues; missed messages are not replayed. Voting uses host receive time because the SDK callback omits the original envelope timestamp.
Accomplishments
The 92.5-second demo includes a continuous own-channel self-test: zero votes, A1/B0, then A0/B1 with the total remaining one, followed by the source cue. Chat and board views come from the same recorded frames. The video also shows genuine Codex development history, with English captions and narration.
This is a single-account self-test, not an audience study or a measured learning benefit.
What we learned
Controlled checks and real platform footage provide different evidence. A saved fresh-extraction run passed 539 software checks. The recorded Twitch test separately demonstrates the actual chat-to-display interaction. Choosing a source to inspect still leaves the checking to the streamer and chat.
What's next
Add host-authored claim cards, more source choices and a simpler host control panel, then evaluate the workflow with consenting streamers.
Twurple, its dependencies and the preserved ws implementation retain their third-party notices. NASA sources are attributed; no NASA imagery or music is bundled. Narration was synthesized locally with Kokoro's stock af_heart voice; no personal voice cloning was performed for it. Codex/agent assistance is disclosed separately from human contributions.
