Inspiration
When we first talking about a habit tracker we were inspired by the book Atomic Habits where it teaches you methods of building and maintaining new habits. We eventually transitioned from a habit tracker to a task tracker. We also wondered if we can help SFU students stay on top of studying and at the same time quiz them on what they learned.
What it does
It's a localized, AI-powered web app designed to help university students manage their coursework, build daily study habits, and master their subjects.
How we built it
We distributed the tasks in our group of 4. Sunny handled the uploads upload screen and course setup. Muji set up the Gemini API and the backend. Marvel was responsible for the dashboard, sidekick feature, and daily progress bar. Kenneth handled test modes and pitch.
Challenges we ran into
Creating a general idea of what we want to do and finding a target audience later. Brainstorming through how we can transition from a habit tracker to a task tracker
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The general idea of creating an app from scratch and implementing an AI API, and being able to create a product that helps SFU students with their studies.
