Streakl
Most habit trackers tell you whether you did something today.
But they don't always show how much time and effort you've put into it over time.
I built Streakl to make that visible.
Whether you're reading, exercising, learning something new, or working on a personal project, Streakl helps you track the activity itself and see how your effort adds up over time.
What it does
Streakl is a habit tracker built around visible progress.
- Track habits your way. Instant, Countdown, and Stopwatch modes let you choose the right way to record an activity.
- See your progress. Individual habits show active days, total time, consistency, history, and heatmaps.
- Get the bigger picture. Statistics gives you an overview across all your habits and how your time is distributed.
- Stay focused. Focus Mode keeps the habit you're working on front and center.
- Fit it to your routine. Reminders, scheduling, pauses, custom habits, and personalization let you shape Streakl around your needs.
The idea is simple: turn everyday activity into progress you can look back on and understand.
How I built it
Streakl is a fully shipped Flutter app for iOS and Android, built with Firebase and RevenueCat.
Firebase powers authentication, cloud data, and the app infrastructure. RevenueCat handles subscriptions and entitlement state across the app.
The harder part was making all of these pieces feel like one coherent product. Tracking, history, notifications, syncing, subscriptions, and statistics all need to stay consistent while the interface remains calm and lightweight.
Monetization with RevenueCat
Streakl is subscription-based, with a free trial and monthly and yearly plans.
RevenueCat powers the subscription flow, paywall, and entitlement handling. I integrated it directly into the product experience so the paywall feels like part of Streakl rather than a separate layer.
Challenges
The biggest challenge wasn't building the individual features. It was making them reliable together in a real, shipped app.
Real usage exposed edge cases around data consistency, app lifecycle, notifications, subscriptions, and performance that weren't obvious during development.
A lot of the work became about solving those details without making the product feel more complicated.
What's next
Streakl is still evolving, with a focus on making long-term progress even more useful and engaging without losing its calm character.
I’m exploring social features for sharing progress with people you care about, more expressive animations and new ways to use Streakl across different routines and use cases.
On the product side, I also want to keep learning from real usage and use RevenueCat’s experimentation and analytics tools to iterate on onboarding, pricing, and the subscription experience as Streakl grows.
The goal is to keep expanding what Streakl can do while staying true to the original idea: making everyday effort easier to see and appreciate over time.
