StraySense

Our main inspiration was my cat, Robin, which was a stray when i found it. Robin was in a very bad condition when we first found him and my parents didnt like him at first so our only solution was a animal shelter. But then we were shocked to find out that more than 90% of animal shelters in our country are filled up due to long queues. How did we build it? StraySense uses the React framework to create a clean and sophisticated UI, then we have a python backend processing the quiz results and analyzing the images What have we learned? Throughout this entire contest we have learned a lot of new things like working with nlp to extract keyword and formulate a simple structure to fill out using the keywords or using React to create clean animations and even how to work with databases like supabase! The challanges we have faced were countless yet the biggest and reocuring problem had to be funding, as you have already figured we dont have a lot of money but solving complex problems and creating functional and optimized photogrametry models or good trained nlp models is very expensive resource wise and we had to be as financially smart as possible to spend minimal money
