Inspiration
We constantly see stray dogs roaming the streets of LA. As dog-lovers, our team wanted to help put an end to this.
What it does
Our website allows people who find lost dogs to upload the info of the dog(ex: color, name tag, city found in) and what shelter they called to pick up the dog. Owners of lost dogs can then go onto our website and type in the info of their dog(ex: color, name tag, city lost in). Then using a data learning algorithm classification model, our algorithm will sort through the info of all dogs uploaded and display the lost dogs' info that best match the owner's inputted info.
How we built it
We built our page using a combination of HTML, CSS, and Photoshop.
Challenges we ran into
There were difficulties learning how to design using CSS, such as learning how to make search bars, or designing buttons.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We've learned a lot about how to code in both HTML and CSS, and that we got to get along better as a team problem-solving and hustling together.
What we learned
We learned a lot of useful HTML and CSS syntax and design options.
What's next for StrayPaws-Website
We hope to expand our website to more cities and possibly different kinds of lost pets as well in the future.
