Inspiration
Stray Kind was inspired by the daily sight of injured or abandoned animals with no one to help them. We wanted to create a platform that makes it easy for anyone to report and rescue stray animals.
What it does
Stray Kind connects rescuers, volunteers, shelters, and transport to report, rescue, shelter, and rehome stray animals—all through one simple platform.
How we built it
We used V0 (no-code tool) to design and simulate the app’s frontend and logic. It’s a concept prototype, not a fully functional full-stack app.
Challenges we ran into
We faced limits with backend implementation, real-time data, and complex workflows. Making it truly scalable would require advanced tech stacks and algorithms.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully demonstrated the core idea with an emotional, clean UI and a clear flow of how rescues can be managed digitally. We brought a powerful social idea to life.
What we learned
We learned about role-based systems, user flow design, and how tech can empower social change—even with limited tools. Also, how important community-driven rescue efforts are.
What's next for StrayKind-Resuing With Love
We aim to collaborate with developers to build a full-stack version with real-time APIs, GPS, a database, and AI tools to detect and verify reports—turning our prototype into a real solution.
