Inspiration
We wanted to explore a cyberpunk city from the perspective of a non-human protagonist—a stray cat with cybernetic enhancements—blending exploration, mystery, and atmospheric world-building.
What it does
Stray Cybernetic Cat lets viewers experience a hyper-realistic, neon-soaked city through the eyes of a cybernetic stray. The cat navigates rooftops, alleys, and abandoned districts, uncovering fragments of lost human memories, interacting with augmented animals, and piecing together the story of a city left behind.
How we built it
We built the project entirely using Wan 2.5 and Seedream 4.0:
Wan 2.5 handled the audio synchronization, sound effects, camera motion, and action sequences in a single pipeline, giving cinematic cohesion to every scene.
Seedream 4.0 generated all hyper-realistic images, including neon-lit alleys, reflective puddles, cybernetic animals, and holographic effects. This combination allowed us to produce immersive visuals and synchronized audio without traditional animation pipelines.
Challenges we ran into
Creating a believable non-human perspective was challenging—cat movement and environmental interaction had to feel natural yet cinematic. Optimizing photorealistic images for smooth scene transitions and maintaining coherent audio sync across sequences also required careful tweaking.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Generated hyper-realistic, fully immersive cityscapes and environments.
Achieved synchronized audio, camera motion, and action using only Wan 2.5.
Created a cat protagonist that moves naturally and interacts believably with its surroundings.
Developed cinematic, game-like scenes entirely with AI tools.
What we learned
Modern AI tools like Wan 2.5 and Seedream 4.0 can produce fully synchronized, cinematic sequences without traditional animation workflows. Perspective, lighting, and environmental storytelling are key to creating immersion, especially with non-human protagonists.
What's next for Stray Cybernetic Cat
We plan to expand the city, add more interactive environments, dynamic puzzles, augmented animal companions, and deeper AI memory systems for richer storytelling. Real-time transitions between generated scenes are also a focus to enhance immersion further.
