Inspiration

I'm a fitness enthusiast myself, with over 5 years of experience in the fitness Industry. I'm into Gymnastics, calisthenics, and I'm also a natural bodybuilding athlete.

Even with years of experience, I still utilize AI to help me achieve certain aspects of my fitness goals. For example, when do I start bulking, what should be the surplus, how to adapt the calories, and when to cut again. All these variables are constantly changing and need to be calculated either by a coach or ourselves.

Similarly, for beginners, they need to understand what to eat, how to work out, and what routine to follow, etc. These variables change for beginners as well for optimal results.

Users are already asking AI for help. ChatGPT & Claude get millions of fitness questions, but general AI has no memory, no context, no structured coaching. That's where Strap AI comes into the picture

What it does

AI Makes Decisions For You - Not just Q&A - your coach actively manages your program, analyzes progress, and tells you what's next. Delegate fitness decisions to your AI coach.

Coach Relationship - Select your coach character with a unique personality. Consistent coaching that knows your journey and feels like texting your personal trainer.

Strategic Guidance - Proactive monitoring and weekly assessments. Real coaching decisions like "Your intensity is back, time to increase the calories and workout volume"

Built for Real Use - Daily check-ins create accountability. No endless message history - just present conversation. Silent updates mean your coach handles it.

How we built it

Strap AI is built as a Flutter mobile app and a NodeJS backend powered by an underrated framework called FeathersJS. Claude code is my daily driver. I'm the architect, and Claude is my junior dev writing all the code for me.

What's next for Strap AI

This is an idea that I wanted to build for some time, and this is not just built for the hackathon, but it is going to be an actual live product available on app stores as part of my product studio, BloomSynth's portfolio of AI apps.

The current version is just an MVP built in 2 days, but we will improve it, run some beta testing and then officially launch the app. Please download the APK from the provided website link to try it out.
