Inspiration

We were inspired by the fear of losing the stories and wisdom of our grandparents as they age, and the realization that many families feel the same gap across generations.

What it does

StoryBridge is an AI-powered storyboard app designed to preserve and pass down grandparents’ life stories. The app provides interview modules to help parents conduct meaningful interviews using guided prompts and once stories are uploaded through voice or text, our AI model transforms them into interactive storybooks or comics, making family histories engaging and accessible for younger generations.

How we built it

We build it using VScode, Hugging Face, python for voice recognition, translate to text, and from text to AI images. For the app prototype, we used Figma and Canva for the slideshow.

Challenges we ran into

We were unable to run VScode for a while and weren't able to integrate Hugging Face due to limited monthly APIs but the mentors assisted us throughout the process and was able to translate our ideas from figma into functional codes.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

It was our first time incorporating AI models into code and was a true learning experience.

What we learned

We learned to quickly brainstorm ideas and implement newly learned contents in limited time.

What's next for StoryBridge

We need to fully develop the app interface; we did not have enough time to do so.
