Inspiration

We take several long road trips every year. During those road trips, we like to listen to podcasts. However, existing podcasts often don't fit our tastes. There are few good ones and their content creators are also slow at uploading new content. It's difficult to produce good quality content and high quantity at the same time. So we decided to use AI to solve this problem.

What it does

Mass produce high quality video content with little to no editing knowledge. Discover trending topics.

How we built it

We started the project in a non-conventional way. Instead of creating a spec or requirements at first, we used Kiro to vibe code simple scripts that do individual things such as drafting story, creating audio file, creating caption, etc. we then pieced together those scripts to create a full workflow. Then we gave Kiro the codebase and explained the app, and asked Kiro to create a project plan using the spec function.

Challenges we ran into

Not enough vibe request credits. Testing and debugging takes a lot of request credits. We sometimes use up daily quota and had to wait for it to reset the next day.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We used Kiro to successfully build a fullstack webapp, which we are using to speed up video creation for our youtube channel.

What we learned

We learned new pain points in video creation, and there's a huge market in content creation and consumption.

What's next for Story Generator

We are launching our own startup, searching for incubator, and planning to launch it as a SaaS product soon.
