Intro
- NFT / Gaming category, Publishing Platform.
Together with a team of creators and enthusiast, we are working on World Building and Campaign management tools for Story-Arc, a TTRPG inspired publishing and gaming platform that aims to connect and empower creators and players alike.
Inspiration
The inspiration to start building comes from a dream that people share and most commonly know within the TTRPG space as Living Worlds.
A smaller niche market that is changing, has a dedicated fanbase, and an unrealized shared dream that keeps getting broken because it requires trust and transparency. Let that be the two things the blockchains can solve.
What it does
Story Arc allows the users to create, utilize and monetize assets for their favorite game worlds. The name was chosen because I wanted to emphasize tying the assets together to tell stories and experience adventures.
What's next for Story Arc
Start working on a team, with documentation, prototypes, and proofs of concept mostly done. I will have to start building a team and get more people involved.
Short Term:
- Polish the Actor minting and add the options to temporarily link other Image NFTs into the Actor NFTs as a visual representation.
- Tweak and fine-tune the solo player demo/tutorial game and expand it with an exploration module.
- Add a collection manager for Actor NFT’s, giving users and creators an option to group actors into visual and logical groups.
- Polish the marketplace and set up an initial minting event with promos and specials.
- Go live on the main net.
Long Term:
- Expand beyond character sheets into other assets and integrate a royalty system that rewards writers, artists, and world builders.
- Provide organized play where people can register for sessions and campaigns ether to run them as gm or explore them as players.
- Implement game rules for the most popular TTRPG games. (Try to acquire license deals for those not under an open license.)
- Build trustless living worlds that can not be censored or controlled.
