Store Management System

Introduction

Our project is a Store Management System that helps streamline the process of requisitioning items and automates certain tasks through Power Automate. The goal of this application is to make it easier for employees to request and receive the items they need, while reducing the workload of managers and administrators who oversee the store.

Technical Details

Our Store Management System was built using the Power Platform, specifically Power Apps and Power Automate. The application was designed to be easy to use and accessible on both desktop and mobile devices. We faced several challenges during development, including creating a user-friendly interface, integrating Power Automate with Power Apps, and ensuring data security. To overcome these challenges, we conducted extensive research and worked closely with our team members and mentors.

Features

Our Store Management System has several features that make it a powerful tool for store management. Users can easily submit requisition requests, track the status of their requests, and receive notifications when their requests are approved or denied. Managers and administrators can quickly review and approve requests, track inventory levels, and generate reports. The system also includes an automated approval process that uses Power Automate to streamline the approval process and reduce the workload of managers.

Implementation

To implement our Store Management System, we first created a detailed project plan and timeline. We then used Power Apps to design and build the user interface, and Power Automate to create the automated approval process. We tested the application extensively to ensure that it was easy to use and that all features were working as intended. During testing, we encountered several issues related to data security and compatibility with different devices, but we were able to resolve these issues by working with our team members and mentors.

Results

Our Store Management System is created to help streamline the requisition process at a store.Our application will aim at reducing the workload of managers and administrators, hence will lead to more efficient and effective management of any store.

Conclusion

Overall, our Store Management System project was a success. We were able to design and implement an application that met our goals and helped improve the management of stores. We learned a great deal during the implementation process and are excited to continue improving and expanding the application in the future.
