Store Capacity Finder

Inspiration

What it does

Many stores have a max capacitance due to Covid-19, this app will help prevent people from waiting outside. It's a way to search for stores and see the amount of people/rate of how many people are entering and exiting. You can then plan your trip to a store accordingly.

How I built it

I used a kivy tutorial on youtube to create the mobile gui in python, and repurposed it for my app. I also wrote a script to create fake data to emulate store owners' data.

Challenges I ran into

Teammates ditching me :(

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Updating the app every time the user clicks the marker/moves.

What I learned

Databases are much more useful than arrays.

What's next for Store Capacity Finder

Have a suggested time to come/change color of markers based on how many people are present.
