Inspiration
COVID-19 is unpredictable in many ways, especially in terms of spread.
Our goal is to be able to predict where COVID-19 will have the highest chance of spreading on a timeline scale and in addition be able to measure the vulnerability of a given area.
What it does
Input a location and get the vulnerability level as well as the timeline of when the virus will hit that location most and when it will spread.
What's next for stopSpreadingJam
Actually building it as well as potentially making a simulation version, the general concept of allow a machine learning model to be given various data points about the virus, the ways it spreads, its movements now, how many people are still going out, and history and then have the model simulate the virus in a simulated area with various populations to see where else it will spread.
The project is based off of four main points: Likelihood and Susceptibility based on Population Social Distancing Ratio Population Density (Based on data of the current patterns of the virus) Movement (Tracking how the virus moved) (Est. of time to get to the area and spread)
