Inspiration

This project was created by the need for public awareness around scam centers. We wanted to develop a tool that not only provides vital information but also engages users through an interactive quiz at the end to help reinforce their learning.

What it does

The tool educates users about scam centers, outlining common scam tactics and strategies. At the end of the session, users take a quiz designed to test and enhance their knowledge, ensuring they are better equipped to identify and avoid potential scams.

How we built it

We compiled research on various scam tactics and structured it into easily digestible sections. The tool was built using web development technologies, and the quiz was implemented to make the learning experience more interactive and meaningful for users.

Challenges we ran into

One of the primary challenges we faced was balancing the informative content with interactivity, ensuring users remained engaged without overwhelming them with too much information.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of creating a tool that is both educational and interactive. The quiz feature successfully engages users and reinforces critical learning points, which will hopefully empower them to recognize scams.

What we learned

Throughout the process, we learned about the intricacies of scam tactics and the importance of educational tools in preventing cybercrime. We also gained valuable experience in creating content that is both informative and engaging.

What's next for Stopping Scams: An ongoing Problem

In the future, we plan to expand the tool with more scenarios and quizzes, incorporating real-time updates about new and evolving scam tactics. Our goal is to continue making the internet a safer place by educating more people about scams.
