Our website is dedicated to Asian Americans and allies looking to help. After the shooting in Atlanta, Georgia, and the noticeable increase in attacks towards the community, we wanted to contribute in some way.

What it does

Our website displays a statistics page that allows viewers to understand the impact the spread of Covid-19 has had on the community. We also included a segment that incorporated links to other websites that offer to help such as petitions, donations, helplines.

How we built it

We built the website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Challenges we ran into

Our biggest challenge was finding an effective way to express our concern for East-Asian communities living in America. We wanted to make the petitions, donations, and other resources easily accessible to users.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Our biggest accomplishment throughout this hackathon was learning the fundamentals of coding.

What we learned

We struggled to use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; however, the workshops helped us understand concepts

What's next for #STOPASIANHATE

We want to keep updating our website in the future so the resources are not outdated and the statistics are still relevant. We would also like to improve the graph as we learn more coding.
