Stop Slouching

Inspiration

Helping those paralyzed or with bad posture.

What it does

Alerts the user when the force distribution of the hips and thighs is uneven.

How we built it

Using an ESP32 to receive input from the FSR sensors, and when the user's distribution is off, they are alerted by an alarm and display to fix their posture.

Challenges we ran into

The battery blew up from being the voltage source, and very frail sensors that had to be taken care of properly.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The coding was very difficult and time-consuming, as well as our comeback from many huge setbacks.

How to integrate code with force-sensitive resistors, displays, speakers, and amplifiers.

What's next for Stop Slouching

We want to make the device smaller, more compact, and comfortable.
