Inspiration

Something that has bothered us is the constant influence of the internet. We wanted to create something that could alleviate this issue so students of this era can focus more on their work instead of procrastinating by browsing the internet.

What it does

There are two options for the user. They can either set a generic timer that will start ringing once the time is up or the user can specify a time limit on a website that will ring when the specified limit for that website has been used up. This project is split into two parts, the website and the extension. The website will help users understand the benefits of the extension while the extension itself will run on the Firefox browser.

How we built it

We used HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, and lots and lots of Firefox Documentation.

Challenges I ran into

Trying to learn how to create a web extension from no previous knowledge and having to deal with the mountain of issues and wrong paths before settling on one solution.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Being able to produce a complete extension that is integrated into the Firefox account with the ability to save and load data.

What I learned

The process of developing an extension and how it integrates with Firefox in addition to the background

What's next for Stop Procrastinating

Much more features and polishing including pushing it to the Firefox Extension Store!
