STONYFY

Inspiration

I was listening to music. I usually use Spotify but when I always find some specific word such as love or missing someone they show some song containing those words in song. However, I wanted to know more specifically if it is also related to the song's tone, beat, and lyrics. That's the inspiration for making this website.

What it does

If you type specific word, it will show songs that is related. Also, it shows a graph of how much the song contains the lyric or vibe of the specific word.

How we built it

Sadly, I do not know how to code in HTML and there's issue with copywright so I couldn't actually code it but I made prototypes.

Challenges we ran into

If you know about music industry, most of the features are already out there. Even though you think it is everything but there are still some parts that need to be improved. I thought it was searching part. The biggest problem was I don't know how to make it as real website. Except for that, the biggest problem was finding an improvement in music industry. I wanted to focus on how people listen.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am very proud of myself because I fixed what I was always desired of. I hope this feature can be actually made and used publically

What we learned

It was my first time joining Hackathon. I asked some people who have already been to hackathon. They told me that I don't really have to code but can make prototype as submission. I was happy to hear that because I have never made website or application by coding. It was a valuable experience and would love to learn more about programming and join another hackathon next time.

What's next for STONYFY

I would love to make it as an actual website or application, send it to some music companies such as spotify, apple music, etc. and hope to see them as an actual feature.
