Stonked

Inspiration

I have an interest in investing, and wanted something to track how my investments are doing.

What it does

Allows users to track the performance of each individual stock, and look up information on different stocks as required.

How we built it

Quasar was used as the base for the project, Google Firebase was used to store stock information, and the Finnhub API was used to obtain financial data.

Challenges we ran into

Google Firebase changed their SDK from v8 to v9, necessitating the relearning of Firebase overnight.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Managing to submit a somewhat functional prototype; I originally believed that I wouldn't be able to get it to function in time.

What we learned

Make sure you're up to date with the tools you plan to use ahead of time.

What's next for Stonked

The addition of stock tracking by different accounts, dividend tracking, and graphs.
