StockTimeMachine

Inspiration

We sought to do something fun and interesting using python api's to grab data off of the internet.

What it does

You can simulate the stock prices of the past, and easily calculate what you would have made if you bought into those stocks at any time.

How we built it

We had three developers, one on Front-end, one on Back-end, and one working with the python api and stock data.

Challenges we ran into

Merging the Front end and Back end was a really big challenge for us, with none of us having done full-stack development before

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully merged our project into a full-stack project.

What we learned

We learned the basics of full-stack development, as well as development with JavaScript and HTML

What's next for StockTimeMachine

Hopefully we can add a few more features and really flesh the overall design out. The goal was to publish our backend to the cloud, and have our Front-end on a public domain, but we struggled for too long with the actual development of the project.
