📈 StockSim – Our Hackonomics Journey

“Why isn’t learning the stock market as easy and risk-free as playing a game?”

That simple question sparked the beginning of StockSim.

During the Hackonomics Hackathon, we—Tanmay, Sahil, and Snehal—came together with a shared vision:
to make stock market education accessible, interactive, and risk-free for beginners.

🚨 The Problem

Many people are curious about investing but:

  • 😟 Fear losing money
  • 🧠 Don’t know where to begin
  • 🏦 Find the market overwhelming and complex

So, we built StockSim
A simulator where users are given $10,000 in virtual cash to explore the stock market using mock real-time behavior, with zero financial risk.

We transformed a simple idea into a fully functional prototype in just a few days.

💡 Why This Matters

This isn’t just a hackathon project.
It’s our step toward making financial literacy more approachable.

We believe in:

Turning learning into an experience, not just theory.
