📖 Project Story – Stock Simulator
It all started with a simple question: “Why isn’t learning the stock market as easy and risk-free as playing a game?”
During the Hackonomics Hackathon, we—Tanmay, Sahil, and Snehal—came together with a shared vision: to make stock market education accessible, interactive, and risk-free for beginners.
Many people are curious about investing but fear losing money or simply don’t know where to begin. So, we built the Stock Simulator, a platform where users get $10,000 in virtual cash to explore and understand stock trading using real-time market behavior, but without any financial risk.
Our roles naturally fell into place:
Tanmay focused on crafting a clean and user-friendly frontend.
Sahil handled backend logic and simulated real-world trading mechanisms.
Snehal worked on data flow, testing, and overall user experience.
We kept our target audience in mind—students, first-time investors, and curious minds—designing features that mirror the real stock experience while ensuring it’s fun and educational.
Through late nights, debugging marathons, and collaborative problem-solving, we built a fully functional prototype in just a few days.
This project isn’t just a hackathon submission. It’s our small step towards making financial literacy more approachable—by turning learning into an experience, not just theory.
