Inspiration

Being able to invest is one of the strongest skills one can have but most people avoid investing out of fear. Today, only 33% are financially literate and under 4% trade. We created StockSensAI to change that, making finance simple, guided, and confidence-building for beginners.

What it does

We worked to create a intelligent financial learning and analysis platform designed to make the stock market simple, interactive, and beginner-friendly. Our app doesn't drowns users in a sea of data and finical jargon but instead teaches them how to read and interpret the stocks for themselves.

Our features: AI teacher to provide a personalized and step by step learning experience that takes you from zero to confident investor through interactive graph assignments/vocab flashcards, Q&A, and visualizing key trends( such as Head and Shoulders, Cup and Handle, etc.) To make our user a strong, well rounded investor, our app also provides a complete breakdown of any stock from profitability and efficiency KPIs to valuation. Furthermore, we believe in being fully informed which is why we provide users with live reliable news related to each stock. Lastly, we also have a supportive chatbot ready to answer any questions the user may have.

How we built it

We combined various APIs, react, typescript, and vite all wrapped up into one to develop our project. In this process, we utilized gemini through firebase studio in order to assemble all of our logic into a very visually appealing package. Then, once the visuals were complete, we ran code behind the scenes to set up API calls to Alpha Vantage and Finnhub, debugged issues with the gemini developed front-end, and made optimizations to the features to make sure they work as effectively as possible for users.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of the fact that were able to make a polished-looking app that a beginner in investing could feel comfortable to call their home. To this effect, our learning feature, which guides the user through a sort of a 'quiz' to develop their memory and strengthen the knowledge they've developed. We've also developed visuals and insights powered by the Gemini API which summarize key information about stocks for our beginners to learn their way to becoming investing pros.

What's next for StockSensAI

We hope to continue devolvement to add new innovative learning features such as having a live personal tutor option as well as a community page where beginners can interact with each other as well as advanced learners. We hope to continue to make a supportive community for beginners while making investing and stocks less intimidating
