Inspiration
Have missed several opportunities to invest because we missed alerts, which inspired us to create this system.
What it does
It alerts subscribers if a stock price falls below or goes above a certain threshold via email.
How we built it
This is a server less architecture built using AWS. We used DynamoDB, Lambda function, cloudWatch and SMTP to send emails.
Challenges we ran into
Difficulty in configuring lambda function to import certain modules.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are able to successfully send alerts to subscribers.
What we learned
We learned how to work on a project in a limited amount of time. We learnt a lot about AWS.
What's next for stock watcher
Building UI and including a sentiment analysis for each stock.
