Stock Up! is a store product stock-tracking app so that citizens can efficiently and safely get necessities during COVID-19.

As a team we wanted to do something to help people in through this pandemic. Our team witnessed a need for timely grocery shopping as we saw for ourselves raided shelves in the supermarket. Students had previously created a website to track the stock of products at stores, and we were inspired to take this one step further and go completely mobile with an Android App.

This is a program to check the stock of certain grocery items. It is meant to help people limit their trips to the store during the COVID-19 pandemic to comply with social distancing and ensure customers get the products they need efficiently and safely.

Before this project, we did not know much about UIs or Android Studio, but over the 24 hours we become more familiar with them both while also seeing how the algorithms and code behind the UI interacted with the UI to create a pleasant user experience.

We had some problems with file locations and creating a search bar, but we learned how to build an entire user interface for an app and connect it to algorithms using Android Studio in just 24 hours!
